Social Work

SOCIAL INITIATIVE FORUM

International Forum for Social Projects

The area of Social Work is still very new and therefore also quite undefined in its role within the entire scope of Spiritual Science. Beginning in the seventies with institutions for drug rehabilitation, the work has expanded in the last 30 years over the entire globe, mainly in the form of individual local projects. Addressing issues such as Poverty, Health Care, Education for the less privileged, Counseling, work in prisons, Human Rights initiatives, Emergency Education, Environmental and Agricultural projects, work is taking place on every continent on a social basis by persons for whom this is like an extension to their actual profession.

There may well be several thousand such projects, but as yet no real overview is possible as the persons concerned largely work within their individual environment and have neither a local or international network.

Initial meetings and conferences in this area are now planned, so that a kind of international forum - a Global Social Initiative Forum - can come about. Through this the nature and scope of the work can be perceived, leading to an awareness of its spiritual and social background.

Some first meetings and conferences in this area are now planned, so that a kind of international forum or Global Social Lab can come about, through which the nature and scope of the work can be perceived and its spiritual und social background understood.
